Requirements for travelers to and from Nicaragua

If you travel to Nicaragua:

Please note that to enter the country you must comply with the requirements set forth in resolutions No. 358-2020 of the MINSA and No. 0172020 of the INAC:

• All passengers must count the negative result of a "real time PCR" test (swab) for COVID-19, performed in a period no longer than 72 hours before entering the country.
• Once you have your result and no less than 36 hours before your flight (1 day and a half before), you must send us your test result in pdf format to eventos.especiales@avianca.com.
• To complete the process, no less than 36 hours before your flight, you must enter the following form and fill out the requested personal data.
• By disposition of the authorities, this information will be sent by the airline to the Aeronautical Authority and MINSA who will notify us the approval for your entrance to the country.
• The day of your trip you must present the original document of the results of your PCR test to the airline.
• We recommend that you check the pages of the official entities of the country in case you require other documents to fly. 

No passengers will be allowed to travel:

• With quick or blood test results for COVID-19.
• Do not present the original PRC test results at the airport.
• Not to send to the airline the copy of the test in the times detailed above.
• Who present respiratory symptoms or fever.
• That they do not meet the requirements requested by the countrys authorities.

If you are traveling from Nicaragua:

According to the Nicaraguan Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), since September 19th, all passengers who are scheduled to leave the country must provide their personal information to the airline, which will consolidate all the information and send it to the competent authorities.

In order to comply with this, we ask you to enter the form up to 36 hours before your flight and fill out the following data:

• Full name as it appears in your passport.
• Reservation code and ticket.
• Sex.
• Date of birth.
• Passport number and expiration date.
• Nationality.

Passengers who do not fill out the form in the time specified above will not be able to travel.
